Probuild Civil (QLD) Pty Ltd has constructed a number of difficult and varied roadwork projects in Queensland since it was founded in 1984, as Chevron Construction Company (Pty) Ltd T/a Basic Construction Services.
The nature of projects undertaken varies from low trafficked relatively simple country roads to extremely busy major arterial roads and highways with complicated environmental issues, traffic management challenges and high degrees of services relocation and installation.
A number of the road work projects involve bridge construction and Probuild Civil (QLD) Pty Ltd is able to undertake the construction of these bridges as part of the roadwork project.
With the advancement in survey techniques, the Company uses the latest GPS and Laser technology wherever suitable, providing increased levels of quality and cost efficiency.
We have experienced roadwork teams who have put their names to a number of successful projects along the east coast of Queensland.

WARREGO HIGHWAY - ROMA TO JACKSON ROAD REHABILITATION
Client: Department of Transport and Main Roads
Year Completed: Due for completion in 2011
Location: Western Darling Downs - Queensland
Description: A six month project funded by the NDRRA for the rehabilitation of 90km of flood damaged road. The work includes shoulder widening, pavement replacement, pavement stabilisation, culvert repairs, asphalt overlays and 1.1 million m2 of bituminous surfacing.
The project is being carried out under traffic, with strict maximum traffic delay requirements over the entire length of the works.

GRANARD ROAD WIDENING

Description: A project for the raising of drainage structures and service pits and the installation of new kerbs and median islands. Due to the high volume of traffic passing through the site, all work is carried out at night and over weekends, with the closure of only one lane permitted at any one time.

Description: A project being undertaken by the Synergy JV, a three way joint venture between Probuild Civil (QLD) Pty Ltd, Downer Australia and Civil and Mining Construction Pty Ltd (CMC).
The work involves the construction of 3 bridges, 8.7km of new road alignment, stormwater reticulation and the installation of street lighting and ITS services on the 65km long route between Cooroy to Curra.
