Synergy Joint Venture

During 2010, a strategic alliance was formed between Probuild Civil (QLD) Pty Ltd, Downer Australia and Civil and Mining Construction Pty Ltd (CMC), with a view to providing greater opportunities in areas where the individual companies were either too small or lacked sufficient expertise and experience, to be able to undertake construction of some of the larger infrastructure projects on offer in Queensland.

A joint venture, the Synergy JV, was registered by the parties and received unqualified acceptance from the Department of Transport and Main Roads during 2010. The Synergy JV has a prequalification level of R4B3F6 with the Department of Transport and Main Roads.

Synergy JV's first success has come with the award by the Department of Transport and Main Roads in February 2011, of a $64 million project for the construction of 8.7 km of new road alignment and three bridges on the 65km long route between Cooroy and Curra in the Sunshine Coast and Gympie regions of south east Queensland.
